Beaufort

Beaufort is located on Port Royal Island, in the heart of the Sea Islands and Lowcountry. The city is well-known for its impressive location and for maintaining its antebellum architecture. Beaufort was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1969, and was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1973 with a variety of homes, gardens, houses of worship and graveyards featured. Extended efforts at conservation give emphasis on the community’s commitment to maintaining its historic nature, which has attracted popularity from visitors and media outlets.


Bluffton

The quaint, charming town of Bluffton is a State of Mind and truly is the Heart of the Lowcountry.

Just across the bridge from Hilton Head Island sits the quaint and charming town of Bluffton, South Carolina, atop a scenic bluff along the picturesque May River. Bluffton’s unique historic district is home to antebellum homes, eclectic art galleries and historic churches. Bluffton’s historic district is home to antebellum homes, art galleries, well-preserved churches and one-of-a-kind shops. Also known for its quiet small town feel, it is also a rapidly expanding community. Bluffton is located within the Beaufort County School District, which include some of South Carolina’s best schools. The relaxed lifestyle, warm sense of community and historic beauty included with living in the Lowcountry are all found in Bluffton. And Bluffton is home to some of the finest private communities in the Lowcountry, including: Colleton River Plantation, Belfair, Berkeley Hall, Hampton Hall and Hampton Lake.

Bluffton is located between Hilton Head Island and Interstate 95. The town’s original one square mile area, now known as Old Town, rests atop a scenic bluff along the scenic May River – hence the name “Bluffton”. Bluffton is well known for its antebellum homes, art galleries, historic churches, shopping and very popular and bustling farmers market. It has been called “The last true coastal village of the south.”


While Bluffton has reserved its charming small town feel, it is also a swiftly growing community, with an increasing number of residential communities, luxury golf course communities, shopping and restaurants. Bluffton is located within the Beaufort County School District, which boasts some of South Carolina’s best schools.

Charleston

Known for its rich history, well-preserved architecture, distinguished restaurants, and mannerly people, Charleston has received a large number of accolades, including “America’s Most Friendly City” by Travel + Leisure in 2011 and in 2013 by Condé Nast Traveler, and also “the most polite and hospitable city in America” by Southern Living magazine. Charleston is located near the middle of South Carolina’s coast. Charleston was originally called Charles Town (in honor of King Charles II of England), and its nickname is “The Holy City.”


Just two hours from Bluffton and Hilton Head Island, Charleston offers plenty of festivals, exciting events, fine southern dining venues, family attractions, sports and leisure activities and recreation.

Daufuskie Island

Daufuskie Island is truly in its very own little world. Hilton Head Island

Hilton Head Island is a Lowcountry resort town and destination 12 miles long and 5 miles wide. The island gets its name from Captain William Hilton. In 1663, Captain Hilton identified a headland near the entrance to Port Royal Sound, which he named “Hilton’s Head” after himself. Hilton Head Island is well known for its eco-friendly development. As a result, Hilton Head Island enjoys a large amount of tree cover relative to the percentage of development. As a world-class resort community, Hilton Head Island has been named one of the top 10 family-friendly beaches in the country that features miles of pristine beaches and some of the finest golf courses in the country. Offering an unusual number of cultural opportunities for a community its size, Hilton Head Island boasts Broadway-quality plays at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina, the 120-member full chorus of the Hilton Head Choral Society, the highly-rated Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra, and several other annual community festivals highlighting great food and wine that can be found in the area. Hunting Island

Of all the lighthouses in South Carolina, the Hunting Island Lighthouse is the only one in the state that is publicly accessible. 

Hunting Island is and very popular 5,000 acre state park located 16 miles east of Beaufort, South Carolina. It attracts over one millions visitors per year. Guests can enjoy campgrounds close to the beach and tour the historic lighthouse – the only one open to the public to climb in the entire state of South Carolina. With 5 miles of beautiful shoreline, the beach views are truly amazing at Hunting Island.



Hunting Island State Park camping is also available at over 200 campsites with water and electrical hookups, shower and restroom facilities, beach walkways and a playground. A perfect vacation destination for the family! Hunting Island State Park camping reservations must be made for a minimum of two nights.

Savannah

Just 30 minutes from Bluffton, Savannah was established in 1733. This southern city attracts millions of visitors each year, who enjoy the city’s architecture and historic buildings.
